About this course
Learn the foundations of working with clay in a calm, well-equipped studio. You will alternate between the pottery wheel and hand-building stations so you understand both approaches. Each session builds on the last: wedging and preparing clay, centering on the wheel, pulling walls for a simple cylinder, plus coiling and pinch pots for hand-built pieces. We cover trimming leather-hard work, bisque basics, and an introduction to glazing so you can finish a small bowl or mug to collect after firing. No prior experience required—just closed-toe shoes and clothes you do not mind getting dusty.
